Duties & Responsibilities
 

Codal is searching for a driven, detail-oriented SEM expert, a strategist who manages all PPC marketing activities and endeavours, and specializes in Google AdWords and other paid ads.

This is a 3-to-5 month contractor position based in the 1099-MISC. Codal is not searching for a full-time SEM specialist at this time.

Our ideal candidate will effectively craft and execute SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo, and other major search networks with the end goal of driving traffic, generating leads, and maximizing Codal’s ROI. The candidate will manage the paid search budget and collaborate with the SEO and marketing teams.

You must possess verifiable experience managing campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies. You should be well versed in tracking and reporting website analytics, as well as the performance of PPC initiatives and campaigns.  

Job Role

Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns

  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
  • Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns
  • Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
  • Research and analyze competitor advertising links

Requirements

  • Education: BS/MS degree in marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field
  • A minimum of 4 years of proven SEO experience managing PPC campaigns across Google
  • Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing
  • In-depth experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
  • Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
